[expand title=”Temporary Skill Shortage Visa – Subclass 482″]
Have you been unable to find someone in Australia to fill a skilled role? Then a Subclass 482 visa may be the right option for you. This visa allows your nominated worker to work for you for up to four years. To be eligible, they must have “functional English” as measured by an officially recognised English test, and demonstrate they have the skills and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

This is a permanent resident visa. If you’ve found an overseas worker with three years of relevant experience and you’re willing to sponsor them for at least two years, you can bring them to Australia on this visa. You can also transition an employee who’s worked for your business on a Subclass 457 visa for at least two years onto this visa under the Temporary Residence Transition Stream. Either way, your selected employee must meet several eligibility criteria.
