Employer Sponsored Visa Options

There are a range of visa options under employer sponsored visa option. Three of the most popular ones are described below.

Temporary Skill Shortage Visa – Subclass 482
Have you been unable to find someone in Australia to fill a skilled role? Then a Subclass 482 visa may be the right option for you. This visa allows your nominated worker to work for you for up to four years. To be eligible, they must have “functional English” as measured by an officially recognised English test, and demonstrate they have the skills and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) Visa – Subclass 186
This is a permanent resident visa. If you’ve found an overseas worker with three years of relevant experience and you’re willing to sponsor them for at least two years, you can bring them to Australia on this visa. You can also transition an employee who’s worked for your business on a Subclass 457 visa for at least two years onto this visa under the Temporary Residence Transition Stream. Either way, your selected employee must meet several eligibility criteria.
Regional Sponsored Migration (RSMS) Scheme Visa – Subclass 187
If you run a business in regional Australia, you may be able to employ overseas workers through this permanent resident visa. If you have an employee who’s worked for you for at least two years under a Subclass 457 visa, you can sponsor them for a permanent position under this visa. Alternatively, you can use this visa to bring an employee to Australia. In either case, your prospective employee must meet set language and skills criteria.
